Eagles of Death Metal Remix/Edit for Nike
    Hello friends,

Please see the press release below on some work I did on this Eagles Of Death Metal track for a new Nike spot. I copied and pasted the official release as this is as clear as it gets. Even if you don't like Football (soccer), this is a very cool spot.

    Love, Tom

    Press Release:

For the new Nike campaign: Take It To The Next Level, Junkie XL remixed Eagles Of Death Metal's "Don't Speak." The spot directed by GUY RITCHIE, takes viewers literally inside the heads of a rising football star competing against the world's top athletes and clubs. It hopes to inspire, motivate and help footballers become better. The spot will be on high rotation during the European Championship Football this coming June.

Eagles Of Death Metal is an American band from Palm Desert, California formed by Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme from "Queens Of The Stone Age." Tom (Junkie XL) edited and remixed the track so it would fit with the spot. Tom says: "It was great again to work with creative director Glenn Cole and with the people from Nike to make this spectacular spot. I have been a fan of the Eagles of Death Metal for years, ever since I heard "Piece Love And Death Metal." To me they are such an underrated band and it was an honor to work with their music. I hope this spot allows a lot of people to discover one of the coolest bands in the world." Junkie XL is working on the proper remix which should be commercially released around the EC Football 2008.

    Ultra After Party Update
Due to production problems at Club Life, the organization of the Ultra After Party was forced to cancel the show on Friday night. Even though this was beyond my control, I do want to apologize to all the fans that showed up for a show. Thanks again for making the Ultra Festival itself and the show at Rokbar such a success.
